Types of Competition

Open Competitions

Open events offering a wide range of competitive divisions, suitable for both developing and experienced fighters.

Divisions may include low contact, full contact, and K1 / low-leg formats.

Competitors are weight matched within junior and senior, male and female categories.

Championships

Higher-level events featuring regional, national and international championships.

These competitions demand a higher level of preparation, discipline and commitment.

Entry is by selection from Open Competition success.

Interclubs

Friendly, controlled events designed to introduce students to competition in a supportive environment.

Emphasis is placed on experience, learning and confidence rather than results.

Ideal as a first step into competitive fighting.

Fight Shows

Fully matched bouts on organised fight shows, often staged in professional venues with spectators.

Fighters are carefully selected and prepared for these events.

A showcase of skill, discipline and mental strength.

  • Team travel and shared experiences
  • Cultural exposure and personal growth

These trips build independence, friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

How Students Progress Into Competition

1. Foundation

Strong basics, confidence, fitness and control built in regular classes.

2. Invitation

Students are invited to competition training when ready — never rushed.

3. Preparation

Structured coaching, rule knowledge, mindset training and support.

Competition is always a choice. Many students train purely for confidence, fitness and enjoyment — and that is equally valued.
